Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR for Healthcare Providers Skills Session

 

NOTE: You must have completed Part 1 of the BLS Course on-line and bring certificate with you to class to show proof of completion in order to take the Skills Session.

 

This course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for adult, child, and infants (including 2-rescuer scenarios and the use of the bag mask), use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), to recognize several life-threatening emergencies including stroke and cardiac arrest, and to relieve choking in a safe, timely, and effective manner.

 

The course is video-based with instructor-led discussion and simulation. Students will participate during discussion and learn the necessary skills using hands-on practice with manikins. There are skills test during the training course.

 

The course is intended for certified or noncertified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals and individuals. Some examples include nurses, aides, home care workers, EMS personnel, fire fighters, physician assistants, physicians, dentists, teachers, coaches, day care workers, restaurant workers, respiratory therapists and others who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course.
